A group of generous supporters has pledged $10,500 to match all donations raised up to that amount by December 31st, jump starting our 2018 Challenge Grant Campaign. This means whether you give $25, $100 or more , YOUR DONATION WILL BE DOUBLED, and is guaranteed to improve the lives of the Veterans and homeless families that TWC serves.
Los Angeles County homelessness has jumped 23% in the last year. This has generated a surge of Veterans and families with children entering bridge/transitional housing on their upward path to permanent housing.
As a result, TWC is much busier this year than ever before! On average, we are helping eight families a month on their journey to stability. Working with two agencies, Westwood Transitional Village and Venice Community Housing, TWC helps the neediest by transforming bare bones apartments into fully stocked homes. The new bedding, towels, school supplies and full pantries our volunteers provide have a measurable impact on the outcome for these families.
