Topanga Women's Circle is an organization of volunteers who help the neediest of homeless Veterans and families in Los Angeles. By furnishing their new housing with the little necessities we take for granted and providing new and like-new items, we help create an environment of comfort and warmth.
Our commitment to the homeless in Los Angeles has helped hundreds as they move into more permanent housing and by creating a comfortable and welcoming environment, we return to these families a degree of dignity and self-worth as they move toward a brighter future.
We presently work with two community housing organizations: Westwood Transitional Village and Venice Community Housing.
TWC purchases and receives donations of new bedding, bathroom towels, rugs, personal hygiene and cleaning products, kitchen supplies, non-perishable food items, and age-appropriate books and toys. Gently used lamps, rugs and other decorative items, help turn a bare-bones space into a home. When the families later move into more permanent housing, they take with them all the items provided by TWC.
